Combined “Day in the Life” Event at East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City

At the end of April this year, UAMS Health Careers Recruiters Yalanda Young (AHEC-NE) and Janet Ligon (Delta AHEC), joined forces to bring a “Day in the Life” program to Forrest City. East Arkansas Community College (EACC) generously hosted the event for 20+ students from surrounding rural areas. They learned about a number of different career opportunities in the healthcare industry and learned their way around the EACC campus.

A Day In The Life Of A Nurse At Delta AHEC

This week’s ArkansasHealthCareers.com video focuses on Delta AHEC in Helena, AR, where Janet Ligon organized A Day in the Life of a Nurse. These Day in the Life programs are a staple at our AHECs all across the state. With the help of her sponsor, the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, Janet brought in 45 students from 10 different high schools in the Delta area.
